Catrinas en Mi Ciudad | Barriletes (kites)Workshop

About this event

🪁 Anyone want to come make a barrilete with me? 🇬🇹✨ I’m thinking about checking out the Catrinas en Mi Ciudad | Barriletes Workshop and would love to have some people join me! We’ll get to learn how to make our own barrilete (kite) with Guatemalan artist Mynor Ovidio Xicon Simon. Barriletes are colorful, handcrafted kites connected to Day of the Dead traditions and are seen as a bridge of communication between the living and deceased loved ones. 🪁💀🌸 It sounds like a really fun way to spend an afternoon, especially if you enjoy arts, crafts, learning about different cultures, or just trying something different. 📅 Saturday, October 10 ⏰ 2:00 PM 📍 The Galleria – Denver Performing Arts Complex 🎟️ Tickets & event info: https://www.artscomplex.com/events/detail/catrinas-en-mi-ciudad-barriletes-workshop Afterward, we can walk around the area and maybe grab some food or drinks. We can decide what everyone feels like doing once we’re there! If you’re interested, join the Voro event or comment/message me so we can go together! 🪁
